I had only just moved back from Melbourne to Auckland with my husband in preparation for the arrival of our first child. I had been seeing an obstetrician in Melbourne, however had heard about Midwife Nadia, so decided to call and check her availability. Thankfully I was able to register under Nadia's care. We had arrived 7 weeks prior to my babys due date, giving ourselves plenty of time to prepare for our sons arrival but little did I know, I had undiagnosed pre-enclamsia. I had been back in Auckland for three days when I started experiencing problems late in the evening. I had not yet met Nadia as our first meeting was scheduled for the following day, however I phoned Nadia and she recommended that I go straight to the hospital and she would meet me there. Upon meeting Nadia, I felt as though I had known her for years. Nadia has an extremely warm, calming personality and I immediately felt at ease in her presence. Nadia has years of experience which I also felt extremely reassuring in such a stressful situation both physically and emotionally, Nadia made me feel incredibly well looked after and taken care of. After my emergency c-section, taking care of a 7 week premiture baby, and the care from Nadia to follow, I can not speak more highly of. She was always available to answer any questions I had, and was incredibly supportive. I could not have asked for anything more, and I am so grateful to have had her support at one of the most momentus times of my life.
